The Rating Scale

The ICAO guidelines state that there are six descriptors which are scrutinised in each exam session. All of these descriptors must be completed in order to attain the correct general evaluation level. These are:

• Pronunciation

• Structure

• Vocabulary

• Fluency

• Comprehension

• Interaction

Each of these descriptors has its own rating scale, which can be seen on the adjoining attatchment:
